Wave, the business utilities provider formed by the merger of Anglian Water Business and NWG Business, has extended its contract with the UK’s leading hotel management company, Redefine|BDL Hotels (RBH) to include 26 luxury four-star properties.
RBH manages a diverse collection of more than 75 branded and private label hotel properties. It works in partnership with five of the most prestigious international hotel brands, including IHG, Hilton, Marriott and Wyndham; RBH is a driving force in the hospitality industry.
In Scotland its portfolio of 16 hotels includes the four-star Aberdeen Altens Hotel and the Westerwood Hotel & Golf Resort near Glasgow; the Holiday Inn Express and Princes Suites in Edinburgh; ibis Styles in Glasgow Centre George Square and Glasgow Centre West, the Rosslea Hotel in Helensburgh and the Moorfield Hotel in Shetland.
The company already used Anglian Water Business for water and wastewater across most of its hotels and transferred four of its Scottish hotels to Anglian Water Business last year. The new contract will place all RBH managed hotels in England and Scotland in a supply agreement with Wave.
Brokered via third party intermediary, Maximeyes, the one-year contract will include retail water and wastewater services along with Active Water Management®, Wave’s pioneering efficiency service that identifies opportunities to reduce water waste and helps customers save money.
The deal is based on the successful model already adopted by RBH at its existing Anglian Water Business sites and proven to yield tangible financial savings. It is predicted that the extended contract with Wave will deliver an annual saving of approximately £79,000.
Mark Dempsie, Head of Property Management at Redefine|BDL Hotels, said: “We have a complex portfolio and we need to ensure we work with a trusted utilities supplier that can offer the standard of service our guests expect so that they have the hotel experience they deserve from leading brands and private label hotels.
“Our experience of working with Anglian Water Business in the past means we’re confident that Wave will offer us those high service standards across the extended portfolio covered by the new contract, in addition to offering us increased opportunities to reduce costs and water consumption.”
Lucy Darch, CEO of Wave added: “Hotels tend to be large volume water users and water is a key factor in guest comfort and operational hygiene. Our service-driven approach means we can help hotel operators like Redefine|BDL Hotels avoid unnecessary water consumption and reduce bills while maintaining reliability of supply through our close liaison with water companies.
“We’re delighted that Redefine|BDL Hotels has had such a positive experience of the added value we provide that they have opted to extend their contract term and scope with us.”
