A national charity working on behalf of people with learning disabilities, ARC has developed it's approach to publication design over the past few years with some major successes in the sector. The Charter for Involvement and the Principles of Transition, both in their third reprint, have been adopted by both recipients and Scottish Government as bench mark examples of accessible design.
Working with the best photographers & illustrators
Both the Charter for Involvement and Principles of Good Transitions publications required a sympathetic approach to the subject matter. Gordon Tait, Creative Director at DC Comics, and Mairead Keating, a photographer who specialise in portrait photography of young people on her old Hasselblad medium format camera, were able to change the direction and manner in which publications such as these can be designed.
